Christian testimonies : A moment to reflect on the Johannesburg return

Greetings to all the readers of this blog. I would like to thank the Lord for what He has done so far. In recent times I was in Harare and happened to meet a fellow disciple by the name of Helman. In my final week in Harare, managed to share the gospel with a security guard at one of the churches in Westgate called the Apostolic Faith Mission. It was interesting that I was just taking a walk one Sunday when I was led to meet this man while he was taking his patrols. God allowed me to give him my testimony, share the gospel and give him a bible as a gift to remind him of our conversation.

Meeting a fellow disciple

A week later I would travel to Johannesburg. Of late I got in touch with Jesus Saiz who is a fellow disciple I got in contact with through Henri. Now it was interesting spending a day with another brother in Christ.

It was at about ten in the the morning when Jesus Saiz came to pick me up from a rendezvous point just at Waterfall city. Now,bit is always interesting to spend a day with the fellow disciple. An ordinary man who left all to follow Christ. I learnt a lot from observing how he maneged to turn his life around and start living for Christ. In this journey if a disciple we often find ourselves on Luke 14, counting the costs of being disciple. I remembered that scripture during the entire time I was with Jesus, and for some strange reason I got reminded about the heavenly principle of accountability.

Life can be a rollercoaster ride at times and often times when you read into the accounts of disciples you will see the reality of what I have talked about in Luke 14. I have had an opportunity to witness a man who was playing his speakers one Saturday at a shopping mall in Midrand and to my surprise it was playing the gospel of John. Now, there is many disciples amoungvus who God has stationed within our immediate community. At one time I thought I was on this walk alone. But I was wrong. The Lord is not like a man and His ways are above our ways just as the heavens are above the earth.

In my short return to Johannesburg, I have been learning especially to be content with the Lord's plan for my life. The script in my mind does not always turn out to be the one that that actually happens but trusting your best friend Jesus Christ is the best thing you can ever do. I am looking forward to sharing more stories in future and to be honest there is so much that happens everyday that I could not exhaust all my stories in one page. But for those who have read this story uo to this point I would lik to put a challenge to you for the week to ask God to send at least one person you can disciple this year.

Untill next time may the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ follow you forever Amen.
